About NTRCA
Firstly you have to know what NTRCA is. Actually, NTRCA is short form. This word’s full abbreviations is Non- Government Teacher’s Registration and Certification Authority. We can say, it is a Teacher Registration exam. It started in 2005 under the ministry of education.
Before this NTRCA exam system, educational institutions appointed by Institution Governing body or Managing committee.
But after this system, every teacher is to attend NTRCA exam. Now, we can say, only qualified candidate can be a teacher.
Exam Level
There are 3 stages of appointment.
- School Level – Assistant Teachers, Athletics Teachers, Assistant Moulvi, Ebtedayee Head and Exhibitors.
- School Level -2 refers to the term of the Trade Instructor, Junior Moulvi, Junior Teacher (general) and Ebtedayee Reciter.
- College level – means the lecturer / Instructor (Tech) / Instructor (non-tech)
Exam Methods
The examination has three stages:
- Preliminary Exam(MCQ)
- Written exam
- Viva exam
I will describe 3 stages step by step with preparation advice so that you can be highly benefited from this article. I am sure that if you apply all advice so you will be successful in NTRCA exam. So, read carefully.
Preliminary Exam (MCQ)
This exam is designed to judge the basic or general competencies of a would be teacher for all applicant.
- Preliminary exam will be 100 MCQ questions.
- Bangla, English, General Math and Current Affairs are the four major subjects to NTRCA preliminary exam.
- Fixed time 1 hour for 100 MCQ questions
- 40% marks are minimum qualifying number.
- Each correct answer for 1 mark and for an incorrect answer is .50 mark deducted.
Written Exam
- Written exam only for candidates who are passed in Preliminary Exam (MCQ) already.
- This exam is special competencies of a candidate.
- It is a three-hour long examination of 100 marks.
- It is very analytical type of questions to judge the level of knowledge and expertise as a subject specialist.
- The subjects are chosen by the candidates during submission of online application.
- It depends of their educational background.
- At present, NTRCA arranges written exams of 82 subjects for colleges, schools, madrasha and technical institutes.
Viva-Voce
- It is only for those candidates who are finally selected through written exam.
- This is last stage of Registration Examination selected number of candidates are invited for Viva-Voce.
- It is to judge their personality traits, style of expression and teaching ability.
Preparation for preliminary exam
Most of the students ask this question, How to take NTRCA exam preparation. Please read this part attentively.
Firstly, you have to pass preliminary exam to attend written exam. Even it is a first step. You already know 40% marks is pass marks. Don’t take it easy.
For this reason that if you will give answer 50 questions within 7/8 questions is incorrect. So, you can’t pass this exam. Because every incorrect answer cut 0.5 mark.
You have to careful about this preliminary exam.
You already know four major subjects is your preliminary exam syllabus. So, now I will describe these subjects and try to give suggestions how you will overcome preliminary exam
Bangla Preparation for Preliminary exam
Most of the questions based on Bangla Grammar. So, you should read Bangla Grammar first. You already know which Grammar is suitable and comfortable for you. But I recommend you Nine- Ten Bangla Grammar book by Munir Chowdhury which book prescribed by National curriculum board.
Moreover, for Bangla literature any kind of series Bangla book such as MP3, Professor’s, and Oracle and so on. Which book you think easy for you to understand.
You can follow NTRCA syllabus. You will get a guide book fir NTRCA exam. I recommend you to buy this book. Because, you can understand which topics is most important.
English preparation for Preliminary exam
I will suggest you to collect guide book. I recommend you two books you should buy. Number one is a passage to the English Language by S.M. Zakir Hossain. Another is Master English Grammar by Zahangir Alam.
No problem, if you have no this book. If you have any other English grammar book. You can follow.
But first, you should read this topics which are NTRCA exam syllabus. You can collect from NTRCA exam guide book.
Math preparation for Preliminary exam
Math is horrible matter who are detached from math many years. But math is very easy. Believe it or not. If you read one time. Which book will you read for remove your Math weakness? Do you want to know?
Khairuls basic math by Md. Khairul Alam. It is a really helpful math book. You have no need for any kind of help to do the math. Honestly speaking.
Same advice, first see the syllabus from NTRCA guide book. Then you should learn one by one math topics.
Current Affairs preparation for Preliminary exam
You have to gather current important news. You can buy or collect any kind of general knowledge book. But I recommend you MP3 Bangladesh and MP3 International Gorge series book. Don’t buy only MP3. Because MP3 and MP3 Gorge series is different writer books.
You should read newspaper or try to watch news daily. When you will get preparation for current affairs, you should read thoroughly.

Written exam preparation
If you can pass preliminary exam, then you will get opportunity to attend the written exam. Don’t worry that written exam is very hard. There are simple tricks. You just check previous written exam questions. Then try to find out which topics is important and made questions again and again.
You will make a suggestion for yourself written exam. It is not tough work. Because, you are a student this subject. You know better than anyone. You will get syllabus from NTRCA guide book also.
Viva exam
Viva exam is a very simple. If you take it easy. Because, here you just prepare yourself to show your knowledge and smartness.
I just give you suggestion basic knowledge of your subject, up to date knowledge and idea about your district.

Short suggestion for NTRCA exam
This short suggestion only for those candidates who have no long time to take preparation.
Ok, let’s know. First you should buy 3 books.
- Professor’s NTRCA guide book.
- Professor’s BCS Preliminary previous question books.
- Professor’s job solution book.
Now, start to read those 3 books. Try to read this book very attentively. First, I recommend to you to solve NTRCA all previous years.
I want to add this part that try to solve unfollow the answer sheet. Then which questions you can’t solve, please try to know fully any book.
Then, you should read BCS Preliminary previous exam book. Try to solve all questions with explanation.
After then, you should read job solution book. Try to solve this book unfollow the answer sheet. It will be helpful for you.
I believe, if you really want to take preparation in short time, this suggestion only for you. But I warn you, please try to complete those books very attentively.
Basic to Advanced preparation
This part only for those people who have much time. Suppose, you have no preparation about any kind of job. So, how you will prepare for NTRCA exam.
If you think that you should get a job. You have to pass NTRCA exam. So, don’t worry, read this part very attentively.
You already know NTRCA preliminary exam syllabus. There are four major subjects. First, you think which subject you know better. If it is Bangla or English or Math. Suppose, you know Bangla very well. So, take Bangla book.
I already discussed about Bangla preparation book. You start to read Bangla book first to last. I think, you can finish this books within 7 days.
You already finished a subject within 4 subjects. Now, you are confident in yourself.
Now, try to touch another subject which you know something. In this way, I believe, you can finish all subjects within 1 month.
You just finish your basic preparation level. Now, you have to take advanced preparation. So, you should try to solve previous year’s job questions.
You can follow Professor’s job solution, BCS Preliminary previous question and NTRCA previous years question.
When you will solve this question, don’t see answer sheets. Try to find out which topics is hard for you. Then, try to learn those topics.
To reach advanced level, you should be good at Math and English.
Special suggestion for Math and English
Everyone suggest to read class 6 – 10 math solve. But I didn’t suggest someone. I suggest to do math without any kind of fear.
So, you should buy Khairuls Basic Math book. Solve this math book 3 times A to Z. Because, when you can finish this book attentively. You will be Boss at Math. You just remember me also.
Then, you can solve class 6 – 10 math books solve. I challenge to you. You will be able to finish those text book only 7 days without any hesitation.
After two or three months later, Suppose, you are Boss on Math. But you may be zero, if you don’t practice every day.
So, secret tricks is you have to practice daily anyhow.
Now, I am talking about English. Actually, English preparation means English Grammar preparation.
If you are very weak in English, just follow a passage to the English Language by S.M Zakir Hossain.
Then, Try to solve another book, Master English Grammar by Zahangir Alam.
I believe, if you can complete this book then you will remove your weakness.
